Keep it CLEAN!

How to properly wash your brushes!

Today's post we will be showing you how to keep your materials clean! Number one RAG PRO TIP: Don't let acrylic paint dry on your brush. If you do, kiss the brush goodbye.
If you let them sit after you paint they will go to waste, your paintbrushes will harden and you won't be able to use them properly. I want to share with you the product I use to clean my brushes. It's called "Pink Soap" and it works great!
I buy this at my local Hobby Lobby store check out there website to look up the nearest store near you www.hobbylobby.com

Proper cleaning of your paintbrush:

1. Wipe off all of the paint solids possible from the brush. Don't be lazy, really get all of the paint off of the brush. No, that's not enough, do it again!

2. Next, rinse the brush in a BUCKET of  clean water. We will refer to this as Bucket #1. You may want to remember this.

3. Now get a bottle of the "Pink soap" and rub some soap in the brushes a couple of times. (This will help you on the next painting)

4. Finally, rinse the brush in Bucket #1 clean, clear water.

5. The brush should be fairly clean now. You can examine it with your fingers, but be polite!

6. Now gently lay your brush down on a clean paper towel or bath towel. Never leave your damp brushes standing upright to dry. It really wrecks their hair! And again, they could lose bristles from the water going down into the ferrule and loosening the glue.Take care of your babies because they make the magic happen! Hope today's post helps!
