I wanted to take a moment to talk about Vanessa Guillen.

I want to bring awareness to all my viewers like you.

Guillen, 20, was last seen April 22 at the Fort Hood base near Killeen, Texas.

Remains found this week near a river in Bell County, Texas.

Vanessa's family attorney Natalie Khawan believes that they are Vanessa's remains.

Two people, including a soldier who killed himself earlier in the day, are connected to her disappearance.

“We lost a life,” Khawam said. “We lost a beautiful young soldier.”

The man who killed himself early Wednesday was the suspect of a Fort Hood criminal investigation by the Army. Though authorities did not publicly confirm the man’s identity, pending notification of next of kin, Khawam said he was an Army supervisor whom Guillen had accused of sexual harassment.
